A Reduction of Wine Imports in the First Quarter

According to the data from China Customs, China imported 43 milliom litres in the first quarter 2008 which reduced 4.9% compared to it had been in the same pariod last year. But the price lifted by 71% to 2.1 dollar per litre. The imports volume in May 2008 was 15.44 million litres, down 11.1%. The price fell to 1.8 dollar per litre, up 61.3% compared to it had been in the some month last year. As for reduction of wine imports in the first quarter, the data from China Customs shows that the imports volume is fluctuating in the safe area.
