Bill allows wine on the fairgrounds

GEDDES, N.Y. -- This year you will be able to enjoy a glass of wine anywhere on the New York State Fairgrounds. Governor Paterson signed a bill that will now allow 10 ounce cups of wine to be consumed anywhere on the fairgrounds.

Previously wine could only be consumed within the confines of the wine court.

Senator John DeFrancisco, who sponsored the bill, hopes this will encourage more fair-goers to sample New York's variety of wines.
