8th Street Wine Co.closes down

BOISE - The two-year-old 8th Street Wine Company has closed.

The restaraunt and wine bar in the BoDo area downtown closed its doors yesterday. A message on the restaurant voicemail acknowledges the closure.

"I'm sorry but We are now closed," the message said. "Thanks to all of our friends, patrons, purveyors, the press - everybody that's been such great support of the past two years."

Calls to general manager Dean Himmelman were not immediately returned.

This is the latest in a string of downtown eateries to close, including Milky Way, Mortimer's, Andre's and Gino's Bistro.
