Le Meurice in Paris Unveils New Wine Program at Le Bar 228
PARIS, Aug 20, 2008 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Le Meurice, part of the famed Dorchester Collection and Paris' most fetching setting for a rendezvous, recently introduced Les Nocturnes du 228 a series of monthly wine tasting events featuring selections by Head Sommelier Nicolas Rebut paired with chic hors d'oeuvres from three-star Michelin Chef Yannick Alleno.
The hotel's recent collaboration with renowned French interior designer Phillippe Starck has created a lavish contemporary setting for cocktails and conversation, before retiring to your guest room for the night. With deep leather armchairs and dark woodwork, warm and felted decorations, and restored Lavalle paintings of the festive night scene at Chateau de Fontainebleu, Le Bar 228 is a welcoming place to meet friends or to enjoy a glass of fine wine.
Les Nocturnes du 228 is a pleasure of outstanding vintages and gourmet delights. Each tasting celebrates Rebut's passion for wine through a particular appellation, with superb bottles hand-selected and brought to full flourish through the flavors and aromas of Chef Alleno's exquisite fare.
Through December visit Le Meurice to experience one of three opportunities to taste and appreciate various wines.
- Grands Bourgogne Rouges (October 2)
-- Vins Moelleux (November 6)
-- Grands Bordeaux (December 4)
Visit Le Meurice in September and order Le Bombay JC/DC at Le Bar 228, the new "limited edition" cocktail of the month created by fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac in collaboration with Bombay Sapphire Gin and William Oliveri, head Barman at Le Meurice.
