Visit 5-plus wineries by bus on Seneca Wine Tour
Tour five or more wineries a day in Seneca and Tompkins counties by bus on weekends.
The Seneca Wine Tour is offered from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. The tours start at the Village of Seneca Falls Visitor Center, 115 Fall St, Seneca Falls. Buses come by each winery about 45 minutes, and participants can get on and off the bus when they choose.
There are three routes, which can change; check when purchasing tickets. The cost is $10. In addition, wineries will charge up to $3 for a tasting, which will include several of their selected wines.
The first route is scheduled for this Sunday, Sept. 13 and 21 and Oct. 4 and 12. It comprises Ventosa Vineyards, Geneva; the Three Brothers Winery & Brewery, Geneva; Swedish Hill Vineyard, Romulus; Buttonwood Grove Winery, Romulus; Lucas Vineyards, Interlaken; Wagner Vineyards, Lodi; and Lamoreaux Landing Wine Cellars, Lodi.
The second route is scheduled for Sept. 6, 14 and 27 and Oct. 5. It comprises Montezuma Winery, Seneca Falls; Cobblestone Farm Winery, Romulus; Knapp Winery, Romulus; Hosmer Winery, Ovid; and Sheldrake Point Vineyard and
Simply Red Lakeside Bistro, Ovid.
The third route is scheduled for this Saturday, Sept. 7, 20 and 28 and Oct. 11. It comprises Lakeshore Winery, Romulus; Goose Watch Winery, Romulus; Cayuga Ridge Estate Winery/Thirsty Owl Thirsty Owl Wine Co., Ovid; Bellwether Hard Cider, Trumansburg; Americana Vineyards & Crystal Lake Cafe, Interlaken; and Frontenac Point Vineyard, Trumansburg.
