BELGIUM. Just days after opening a Starbucks Coffee store in the Departures hall at Brussels Airport, Autogrill Belux is today opening another new establishment at the same location: the Beaudevin Wine and Tapas Bar.

Developed alongside Creneau International, Beaudevin is designed to be a place where people can unwind, sampling their favourite wines in a comfortable, sophisticated and cosy environment, said Autogrill.

While the Beaudevin Wine and Tapas Bar at Brussels Airport is the first, the concept has been designed to be rolled out internationally at airports, railway stations and shopping centres.

The name, image and presentation of the concept will remain the same for future launches, but the wines and tapas on offer will be adapted for each country.

“This opening fits in perfectly with our expansion strategy, as well as the plan to upgrade the retail area of Brussels Airport and offer more convenience to passengers,” said Autogrill Belux CEO Jean-Paul Van Avermaet.

“The development of powerful new concepts which meet the needs of passengers is a priority for Autogrill. And we are absolutely convinced that Beaudevin will appeal to customers and/or passengers looking for a moment of peace and quiet,” he added.

The Beaudevin lounge bar is divided into three areas: a central ‘bar’ area, a social or meeting area, and a more discreet private area for those who want to rest or work. It also offers Mediterranean meals.

“Wine means pleasure, health, tradition and passion. The name Beaudevin itself literally refers to all the good things wine has to offer. In that context we have created an informal atmosphere, typical to the contemporary cellars where the winegrower proudly presents the wines himself,” noted developers Creneau International.

The selection of wines for Beaudevin Brussels Airport was made by Fiona Morrison, Master of Wine and famous wine journalist.

“Beaudevin is a concept that will delight travellers seeking a unique experience. That is why I selected a wine list from all over the world, including Belgium, for the Beaudevin Wine Bar at Brussels Airport,” said Morrison.
