Seminole Hard Rock hosts wine tasting and art show with live jazz on Thursday for arts groups
An arts group is hoping to raise money and glasses on Thursday.
A wine tasting and art show are part of the fund-raising event from 6 - 8 p.m. Sept. 18 at Seminole Paradise in Hollywood.
Proceeds will benefit ArtServe and The Art and Culture Center of Hollywood.
A jazz band will be the backdrop to the sampling of wines, such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Acacia Chardonnay and Perrier Jouet. The tasting stations will be throughout the casino's retail plaza.
The featured artist will be Deborah Weed, a mixed-media artist who takes inspiration from nature and water. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Weed's art at Jack Gallery at Seminole Paradise will also benefit the charities.
"After an extremely successful event last year, we are pleased to continue our efforts in support of the arts," said Sam Hosn, general manager of Seminole Paradise. "We invite the community to take part in this entertaining evening to benefit two organizations whose educational and multi-cultural efforts help make Broward County a richer and more vibrant place to work and live."
"The Fine Art of Wine" is presented by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and sponsored in part by Bitner Goodman.
Admission is $35 in advance or $45 on the day of the event and includes a complimentary commemorative wine glass.
