A Wine Tasting Exploration Experienced In Special Wine Glasses
Morton’s The Steakhouse will host special Riedel Wine Tastings at both the Uptown and SouthPark locations inviting guests to explore the difference that a wine glass can make on how wines taste. The event features Riedel “Flow” series wine glasses paired with red and white wines along with Morton’s signature hors d’oeuvres.
Morton’s Uptown will hold their Riedel wine tasting event on Thursday, September 11 and Morton’s SouthPark will follow the next evening on Friday, September 12. Both events begin at 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Cost per person is $70 and reservations at both locations are required. “To showcase the wine glasses, a variety of white and reds have been carefully selected for use in the Riedel “Flow” series wine glasses,“ says Derrick DeWalt, General Manager of Morton’s The Steakhouse Uptown. “A benefit of the evening’s tasting includes that our guests in attendance at both locations leave with a special take-home gift of four Riedel “Flow” series wine glasses that are retailed at $60,” he continues.
Wine selections for the Riedel glass tastings are Erath Pinot Noir with fresh fruit aromas of cherry, raspberry, and blueberry; Chateau Ste. Michelle Canoe Ridge Chardonnay with fresh apple, ripe pear and spice aromas and flavors; Chateau Ste. Michelle Cold Creek Cabernet with dense aromas of boysenberry and brown sugar spice with layers of fruit, nicely integrated, yet very age-worthy, tannins; Domaine Ste. Michelle Luxe, and Chateau Ste. Michelle Eroica Riesling.
“In addition to these superb wines will be food pairings of Morton’s delicious hors d’oeuvres, including petite filet mignon sandwiches, chicken goujonettes, broiled sea scallops, and miniature key lime tarts,” adds SouthPark’s General Manager Shanna Cochran. “It promises to be one of our most popular wine tastings we have hosted because of the exceptional wines, foods and glassware gift,” she explains.
Morton’s The Steakhouse Uptown is located at 227 West Trade Street and Morton’s SouthPark is located at 4331 Barclay Downs Drive. Valet parking is available.
