Sunday beer/wine going on the ballot

OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - Sunday beer and wine sales are moving forward in Ottawa County.

The County Clerk accepted thousands of signatures Tuesday. The group Say Yes to Sunday collected almost 43,000 signatures and reports say the County Clerk certified them.

The issue will now go on the November 4th ballot. Voters will decide if it'll be legal to sell beer and wine on Sundays.

Right now Ottawa County is the only county in Michigan banning Sunday sales.
