When elections are over, celebrate with fine wine and food
You’ve cast your vote the day before, it’s Sunday afternoon and you feel like a glass of wine. Well there’s no need to feel guilty because you can have a glass, or three, for charity next Sunday, September 14, at the fifth annual Lismore Wine & Food Fair.
The Lismore Wine & Food Fair gives you the opportunity to sample wines from some of Australia and New Zealand’s best vineyards while nibbling on delicacies prepared by Menins and Howard’s Delicatessen and enjoying live jazz courtesy of the Lismore Jazz Club.
The Lismore Wine & Food Fair will be held in the landscaped grounds of Invercauld House in Goonellabah from 12pm to 4pm. It’s only $15 to get in and all proceeds go to local children’s charity Our Kids, so bring a friend and get quaffing.
A highlight of this year’s Lismore Wine & Food Fair is three masterclasses offered on the day – one on pinot noir/sauvignon blanc at 11am ($15), a shiraz class at 2pm ($10) and a food masterclass with chef Dominique Chaudet at 12.30pm ($10).
To book a masterclass or pre-purchase tickets phone 6620 2705 or grab your tickets at the door on the day.
