Toasting creative design for wines
Voicebox Creative brands clients’ bottles
“Our brand managers are really entrepreneurs for each brand they develop,” says Ziegler.
Sean Ziegler recently noticed people in grocery or wine stores looking perplexed about which wine to pair with dinner. Red or white? Pinot noir or pinot grigio? What complements a super-spicy taco medley?
Ziegler, founder and managing director of brand and design agency Voicebox Creative, wanted to help. He had Voicebox employees study the obstacles the average consumer faces when choosing a wine, and his team then created a brand strategy with the results and pitched it to several international wine makers.
His venture paid off. W.J. Deutsche and Sons Ltd., the importer of top-selling Yellowtail wine, signed with Voicebox to create a brand innovation strategy for the company. Such entrepreneurial initiative, Ziegler said, has helped San Francisco-based Voicebox grow its revenue by 90 percent in the past two years.
“Our brand managers and designers are really entrepreneurs for each brand they develop,” he said. “Creativity is key.”
