The Paw Paw Village Council voted Monday to recommend the Michigan Liquor Control Commission approve a Small Distillers License for the St. Julian Wine Company to proceed with plans to start producing its Grey Heron Vodka. Village President Roman Plaszczak said the product will be an 80-proof vodka and made from Michigan grapes. The vodka will be sold only in the fifth size bottles and only in Paw Paw at this time. Production will begin as soon as the Liquor Control Commission grants the new license.
