Hong Kong Wine Imports increased rapidly

According to Mrs Rita Lau Ng Wai-lan, Secretary of Hong Kong Trade Development Council, in the 5 months after Hong Kong abolished the tariffs on imported wines, Hong Kong’s wine imports increased 95%.
Mrs Lau said that a lot of wine auction have been held, and two international wine fairs have been hosted in Hong Kong. Many companies expand their business on trade, storage and logistics in Hong Kong, .
In addition, Hong Kong government also put forward measures such as eliminating tax,
investing promotion, education and training, cracking down on counterfeit goods. Hong Kong government is also trying to make use if some heritage buildings in commerce, including wine business.
