Address Direct Shipping in Free Webinars
Get the latest developments in online seminars for wineries and retailers
Boulder, Colo. -- Winery marketers and wine retailers are encouraged to sign on for two "virtual" seminars that will bring them updated information on direct shipping rules around the country.
More than 250 registrants already have enrolled for the Online Direct Shipping Seminar, which is Oct. 16 and tailored for wineries. The free event, sponsored by Wine Institute (WI), ShipCompliant, FedEx and Wine Business Monthly, is the latest in a series designed to help marketers navigate the ever-shifting terrain of the direct-shipping channel.
The format will enable participants to log into a web conference and call into a phone line to interact with presenters including WI's director of state relations Steve Gross, Thomas Ourada of the Wisconsin Department of Revenue and shipping specialists from software supplier ShipCompliant and FedEx. Ourada will explain Wisconsin's new direct shipping regulations, which became law Oct. 1.
On Oct. 23, a separate seminar--also free--sponsored by ShipCompliant and the Specialty Wine Retailers Association (SWRA) will highlight retailer-specific information. SWRA executive director Tom Wark will present an update on legislation and litigation, and ShipCompliant will demonstrate its new retailer compliance software.
The online format ensures there is no limit on attendance for either event, and the continuous flux of direct shipping regulations means that even those who participated in earlier editions will have much to learn this year. For details and enrollment, visit shipcompliant.com/events/.
