Now in its seventh year, South Africa's premier champagne festival is set to be bigger and bolder as it celebrates the world's finest vintages under the theme 'Finer Things in Life'.

Hosts Wine Concepts will again stage the prestigious event at the Vineyard Hotel and Spa in Newlands, Cape Town on November 14 from 18h00 to 21h00 and guests will be treated to one of the most impressive selections of champagnes ever seen in the country. More than 30 cuvees will be shared, accompanied by fresh oysters, rare cheeses and fine chocolates.

"In tune with the theme of the 'Finer Things in Life', elegant fashion and rare Italian motor cars will share centre stage," said co-host Michael Bampfield-Duggan of Wine Concepts.

He added the success of the previous champagne festivals had inspired Wine Concepts and the Vineyard Hotel and Spa to create an even more enjoyable event.

As in the past, proceeds will be shared with the Kids with HIV Foundation to support their pioneering work that brings children with the condition the hope of a normal life.

"As the famous monk once declared, drinking champagne is like 'tasting stars' and our intention for the event this year is for both champagne aficionados and people who simply enjoy the drink to share an evening of excellence, all for a worthy cause," Bampfield-Duggan said.
