Hammonton Planning Board approves new Eighth Street location for DiMatteo Winery
HAMMONTON -- The Hammonton Planning Board approved a waiver of site plan, paving the way for the construction of a new home for DiMatteo Winery.
Owner Frank DiMatteo plans to build a 2,800-square-foot processing building and a 400 square-foot retail area at Eighth Street and Service Road.
The building will be located on a seven-acre tract.
The new processing building will take the place of one used at DiMatteo's current location just south of the Eleventh Street recreation area.
DiMatteo's application was the only one heard by the board during its Nov. 5 meeting.
The board's Nov. 19 meeting has been cancelled, board secretary Patricia Berenato said.
During its meeting Dec. 5, the board is scheduled to hear an amendment to a minor subdivision requested by R&I Construction concerning the demolition of a home at 318 Fairview Ave.
