Out of Ben and Charlotte Gordon's appreciation of wine, Aragon Wine Market, 27 S. Ninth Ave., was born.

"Wine is an integral part of our lives, which is what fueled our desire to open a wine store. I really hope to get to personally know my customers. I enjoy finding new, interesting wines for people to discover," said owner Charlotte Gordon.

Aragon Wine Market sells wines ranging from South America to Australia, the West Coast to Europe, in various price ranges.

"We have a variety of upscale wine accessories, cheeses, crackers and other specialty items, and we will put together a basket full of treats," Charlotte Gordon said.

The store also offers specialized services including wedding and gift registries, customized wine selection and consultation.

The Gordons, both lawyers, have taken many trips to wineries on the West Coast of the United States as well as throughout Europe, and they have a small home in Sancerre, France, where they visit as often as possible.

Aragon Wine Market features wine tastings and plans to conduct monthly classes starting in January. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Call 433-WINE.

NailTrixII
University Mall lost another business to the Trade Winds Center when NailTrix I moved after 10 years and became NailTrixII, 6601 N. Davis Highway.

Owned for the last four years by Lynn Nguyen, it offers spa pedicures and manicures, fill-ins, full sets, hand designs and waxing.

"We're hoping with the new move, we will pick up business again, and we've lowered our prices, too," said Thuy Ta, Nguyen's daughter-in-law.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Call 505-7574.

Buyer advocates
Christopher Gergen recently started a new service-oriented buyer advocate company at 3 W. Garden St., Suite 321 in the Blount Building.

Armour Automotive Consulting Corp. "represents clients who are in the market to purchase a new or used vehicle. We work independently for the buyer and negotiate terms on their behalf," Gergen said.
