A New Glass Wine Producer Enters The North American Market

Press Release: Encore Glass of Benicia, California and Fevisa Industrial of Mexicali, B. C., Mexico are very pleased to announce an additional wine bottle supplier for the domestic US wine market. "Over the last couple of years, supply of glass bottles to the wine market has been in greater demand than the total manufacturing capacity which has negatively affected on-time supply of trade requirements. We listened to our customers' concerns", said John First, President, Encore Glass. "Asian supply is one option, but there are some constraints and long term limitations to glass supply from China. Our customers have expressed a desire for another North American source."

Encore Glass and Fevisa Industrial reached an agreement on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 in San Diego. Fevisa is a major glass manufacturer of beverage containers and is a certified and select supplier to such prestigious companies as Anheuser Busch, Coca-Cola and Modelo Brewing. Fevisa's manufacturing focus is on quality, continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. "We could not have found a better partner to enter into the wine bottle market", states Adalberto Silva Garcia, President of Fevisa. The first production date is scheduled for early December 2008 in Fevisa's Mexicali facility. Encore will be the exclusive sales agent for Fevisa wine bottles in North America. Production, supply chain and logistical needs have already been established to assure customer satisfaction. Fevisa's Mexicali location is less than 600 miles from the majority of wineries in California and same day deliveries and just-in-time inventory programs are being currently formulated. "By adding Fevisa to our qualified list of manufactures, we are offering our customers additional flexibility in sources of supply.
