MEDFORD, Ore. -- Choosing a good bottle of wine can be a little intimidating, and with the economic slowdown, many wine shops are seeing customers looking for bargains.
Experts say it's possible to pick a wine that will both pair well with your meal and be reasonably priced.
"I think this year, more than previous years, people are looking for values. People will still drink wine, but budget is more of a consideration right now," says Pacific Wine Owner Victoria Guantonio.
Pacific Wine Club recently opened its warehouse because of customer demand for good, inexpensive wine. Most people consider white wine to pair with turkey, but several reds also offer a great partnership.
"You can choose a Syrah, this is from the central coast down in California. Lots of fruit when choosing a wine for Thanksgiving," says Guantonio.
For dessert, experts recommend Brandon Port, which runs just under 12 dollars a bottle. There are also many great non-alcohol varieties available.
