Swine and Wine event benefits B&G Club
MACHIPONGO - Chatham Vineyards will be hosting Swine and Wine, a benefit for The Boys and Girls Club of the Eastern Shore on Thursday, Dec. 4 from 6 to 10 p.m. A $50 ticket purchases admission, a delicious meal and a beer and wine bar featuring the award-winning Chatham vintages. Proceeds go toward helping the children of Virginia's Eastern Shore maximize their potential. A full night of entertainment will feature two fantastic bands comprised of the best local bluegrass musicians who have donated their time, as well as DRB, from Cape Charles, who have volunteered to play a set.
Aqua Restaurant is providing side dishes, and Amy Brandt of Amy B Catering is providing dessert. The slow-cooked pork will be prepared on site during the event.
A silent auction will include a Christmas tree delivered to your house, erected in a stand of your choice, and strung with lights.
Asked about this first-time event, Boys and Girls Club board member Sara Baldwin, said, 'It's amazing to witness the teamwork and initiative that the party committee demonstrated. Boys and Girls Club is honored to be involved with such a concerned, dynamic and fun group of individuals. "Tickets are available at the Book Bin, Rayfields' pharmacies, the Machipongo Trading Company and Impact Fitness.
