The second annual Palm Beach Food and Wine Festival raised about $13,000 for the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, according to organizers.

The event, which was held Nov. 5 at 150 Worth, featured 45 restaurants, wineries and vodka distributors and attracted a sold-out crowd of about 400.

The Animal Rescue League is a nonprofit organization that works to provide shelter to Palm Beach County's lost, homeless and unwanted animals. The organization does not receive state or federal funding and instead relies on donations and fundraising events like the Food and Wine Festival.
