Announces its Agreement with KMO International to Begin Distributing in India
Marani Brands Inc., a growing player in the world of international wine and spirits, announced today that it has signed an agreement with KMO International to begin distribution of its signature Marani Vodka into the Indian market beginning in 2009. The growing importance of emerging markets like India plays into Marani’s long-term distribution strategy to participate in growth areas where consumers’ incomes and standards of living are rising at a rapid rate.
“As the world’s fourth largest economy, India provides great opportunity for Marani since its middle class is larger than the entire population of the United States and their thirst for unique tasting branded spirits is growing by double digits every year,” said company CEO Ara Zartarian. The widely regarded International Wine and Spirits Record (IWSR) states that overall vodka sales in the Asia Pacific region have risen by 22.1% CAGR between 2002 and 2006 to reach 2.9m cases and that this is a market to watch. “We are proud to offer the consumers of India the unparalleled quality and distinctive taste of Marani Vodka,” added Zartarian.
