Wine Bar Coming Soon to Elmira

(2008) ELMIRA- A new wine bar and restaurant is making its way to downtown Elmira.  The owner of this building on West Water Street is now remodeling the space.
In addition to wine and beer, the owner says he will serve wraps, soups, and rice bowls, for around five dollars.

He says the restaurant will cater to young professionals.

Some neighbors say they're looking forward to the new addition.

 “All the good restaurants we have are in Horseheads so it's hard to get there if you don't drive.  This is a walk, especially from my house,” says Sara Rolls of Elmira. 

“We need some restaurants around here and I Iike to eat so good cheap food is fine with me,” says Dave Barney of Elmira. 

The owner says he hopes to have the eatery open by the summer.
