Get ready for a feast. China Grill Management sent over a summary of their holiday plans at all six of their fine South Florida restaurants:  Blue Door at Delano , Tuscan Steak, Kobe Club , China Grill SOBE, China Grill Ft. Lauderdale , and Asia de Cuba at Mondrian…

BLUE DOOR AT DELANO

Miami’s most acclaimed hotel is also home of its most romantic dining experience.  Enjoy refined modern French cuisine with Brazilian and global influences created by internationally renowned chef Claude Troisgros and Delano ’s new executive chef Maria Manso. Join us for a Dom Perignon Champagne reception hour, followed by a four-course sit down dinner with wine pairings, and midnight fireworks for $600 per person all inclusive.

The evening’s cocktail reception hour begins at 7:00P.M. with Dom Pérignon champagne and a variety of Hors’ D oeuvres including: Kobe Beef Steak Tartare on a sourdough cristini; Lobster Saffron Salad & Caviar served on wonton chips; Crispy Crab Dumplings with spicy mango Aioli, and Brie cheese fig compote in a phyllo cup.

Dinner follows at 8:00 p.m. with a four-course sit down dinner with wine pairings.  First course is an Artichoke & Crab Soup with artichoke hearts, jumbo lamb crab meat and cilantro oil.  Second course is Duck Foie Gras with grape chutney, watercress salad, pomegranate reduction and Brioche toast.

Main entrée is a choice of South American Lobster Tail-pan roasted spiny lobster tail, coconut almond sticky rice with sautéed spinach and lobster champagne sauce, or Filet Mignon-grilled beef tenderloin, Roquefort, Yukon gold truffle mash, asparagus, black trumpet Beaujolais Nouveau sauce. Dessert is a choice of Passion Fruit Crème Brulee or Banana & White Chocolate Mousse Crepe.

TUSCAN STEAK

Celebrate New Years Eve Italian Style. Tuscan Steak is offering a four-course meal and bottle of Piper-Heidsieck champagne per couple for $150 per person (tax and gratuity not included).

Open Bar is also available for $45.00 per person (tax & gratuity not included).

First course is a choice of Pan Seared Scallops with melted leeks and a brown butter-almond vinaigrette; Braised Short Ribs with parsnip mash & crispy onions; or Buratta Mozzarella Winter Caprese-oven dried grape tomatoes, basil pesto drizzle. 

Second course is Braised Veal Ragu-house made papardelle, ricotta salata or Gnocchi Gorgonzola-finished with white truffle oil & baby arugula.

For entrees, you receive a choice of Prime Filet Mignon with crispy proscuitto, truffle Béarnaise & tomato marmalade; Herb Roasted Poussin with creamed escarole & roasted garlic jus; or Grilled Jumbo Prawns with crab & corn risotto, basil Buerre Blanc.

Dessert is a Roasted Pear Filled with Ricotta Custard with blood orange sorbet & honey tuille or Flourless Chocolate Tort with hazelnut praline & port wine gelato.

KOBE CLUB MIAMI

Kobe Club Miami is celebrating the New Year ‘James Bond’ style. Featuring Black Jack tables and Roulette wheels, Kobe Club is offering a six-course meal and open bar for $250.00 per person for advance reservations ($300.00 on Dec 31th), tax and gratuity not included.  In addition, Kobe Club guests are welcome to dance at China Grill’s 1977 Disco party next door.

First course is a Tomato and Red Onion Salad with 25 year old aged balsamic, followed by American ‘ Kobe ’ Beef Cheek Ravioli in truffle broth.  For your third course you will enjoy Grilled Hudson Valley Foie Gras ‘Steak’ with Asian pear compote & toasted brioche.  Fourth course is a Snapper Meuniere and the main entrée is Kobe Club Surf & Turf- 4 oz. Australian Wagyu Filet and broiled Maine lobster tail with drawn butter, rock shrimp and chive mashed.  Your entrée will be accompanied by a trio of sauces including peppercorn, classic Béarnaise and herb & shallot butter. China Grill celebrates the New Year with a 1977 disco dinner party.  Dining family style, China Grill SOBE is offering a four course pre-fix menu and open bar $200.00 per person advance reservations ($225 on Dec 31st), tax and gratuity not included. Open Bar only is also available for $125 per person (tax and gratuity not included).

First course is a Sushi Combo Platter followed by a second course of Peking Duck Salad roasted with tangerine orange dressing, Crab Cakes topped with Tomatillo-pineapple salsa & three mustard sake sauce and Spicy Beef and Scallion Dumplings in soy ginger sauce.

Main entrees include Sake Marinated “Drunken” Chicken in ponzu sauce with sweet crispy onions and Asian Slaw; Pan Seared Spicy Tuna with avocado sashimi & wakame seaweed salad; and Grilled Szechuan Beef with Broiled Maine Lobster Tail, sake, soy, spicy shallots & cilantro in a Shanghai sauce and melted butter.  All entrees are accompanied by Rock Shrimp & Chive Mash and Five Vegetable Fried Rice.  Dessert is a chef’s selection for the table.

ASIA DE CUBA AT MONDRIAN

Asia de Cuba at Mondrian is celebrating New Years Eve with a five-course “Family Style” sharing menu. Dinner includes a bottle of champagne per couple, open bar at Asia de Cuba, open bar at the party at the Sunset Lounge, fireworks and a live symphony performance at midnight on the bay for $350.00 per person (tax and gratuity not included).

For parties of two, you will enjoy your choice of two appetizers, two entrees, one side dish and dessert.

For parties of three, you will enjoy your choice of three appetizers, two entrees, two side dishes and dessert.

For parties of four or more, you will enjoy your choice of four appetizers, four entrees, three sides and dessert.

To begin, choices for appetizers include Tunapica ‘Blue”-picadillo style blue fin toro tuna tartare with Spanish olives, black currants, almonds, coconut, soy-lime vinaigrette and wonton crisps; Pan Seared Day Boat Diver Scallops and Osestra Caviar-sweet & sour plantains, habanero corn crema; ‘Ropa Vieja’ of Duck, a confit of duck legs, green apple and apricot salad, five spiced seared foie gras, hoisin port sauce, and Belgian endive leaves; or Wagyu Beef Cheek Dumplings Two Ways -crispy with plum sauce, steamed with coconut bamboo rice and mango ponzu.

All guests will enjoy a second course of Calamari Salad ‘Asia De Cuba’ with crispy calamari with chayote, hearts of palm, banana, cashews, chicory and radicchio in a sesame orange dressing followed by an intermezzo of Passion Fruit Granite-caramelized lychees, Havana club rum mojito splash.

Main entrees include Coconut Mustard Seed Sustainable Chilean Seabass with jumbo lump crab and sweet corn cakes, Caribbean succotash and jalapeno plum coulis; Asian Black Pork Lechon Asado in a guava soy BBQ sauce, “doce” grapes, jicama, currant and manchengo slaw; Lemongrass and Coconut Grilled Hawaiian Blue Prawns with lobster, pineapple and perilla pad Thai noodles and crispy plantains; or Pan Seared Wagyu Beef Strip Steak with yucca frita and shimeji mushroom hash, spicy Chinese eggplant in a tamarind sauce.

Side dishes include Congre Tostones with Cuban mojo; Baccala Fried Rice with sweet plantains; Braised Baby Romaine with chicharones and piquillo peppers, or Grilled Asparagus wrapped in a jamon Serrano with citrus ginger soy.

Dessert is a chef’s celebration platter of decadent desserts.
