Foley Wine Group Announces the Hiring of Tim Matz as President
Foley Wine Group Chairman, William ("Bill") P. Foley, II, today announced the hiring of long-time wine industry executive Tim Matz to serve as President of the Foley Wine Group.
As President of Foley Wine Group, Matz will oversee the management of the entire Foley Wine portfolio, including accounting and finance, marketing, sales, production and operations.
Matz joins the Foley Wine Group following a brief stint overseeing the Langtry Estate & Vineyards in Lake County after four years as President of Jackson Wine Estates International, where he was responsible for the international business of Kendall Jackson Wine Estates. He was previously Vice President and General Manager for Beringer Blass Wine Estates (imports and Canada) from 2002 to 2004 and he was President (Americas) of Southcorp Wines prior to its acquisition by Beringer Blass. Earlier in his career, Matz worked for Brown-Forman in various sales, marketing, strategic planning and business development roles. Matz brings more than twenty-six years of business experience, with twenty-one of experience in wine and spirits industry management, and he holds an MBA from the University of Kentucky.
