A Chinese wine enthusiast made good use of the seasonal spirit on Christmas Eve, buying wines worth more than 46.000 Euros at Roissy airport in Paris, thus setting a new record.
Shortly before the departure of his aircraft en route to Beijing, the passenger purchased wines to the value of 46.423 Euros, including a 1991 La Tâche, a 2002 Romanée-Conti and a 1947 Lafite-Rothschild. This sale broke the price record for wine sales at ab airport; this record was previously held by another Chinese passenger, who had spent "only" 23.000 Euros. (WF)
