Operation needs conditional use permit from village
WAUKESHA - Three business partners are pursuing zoning approvals to operate a winery called Two Brothers Wines in downtown Pewaukee.
Pete Laundre and Henry Gutmann, both of Brookfield, along with Gutmann's sister-in-law, Patricia, of Richfield, have leased space at 125 Oakton Ave. The 1,700-square-foot building was the home of Salvo's Pizzeria before it moved to a nearby location earlier this year.
Currently, the area is zoned for retail, but the partners are looking for a conditional use permit that would allow a winery to operate there. The Pewaukee plan commission is scheduled to vote on the matter at a Dec. 11 meeting.
