Investors worried about the credit crunch should turn to the fine wine market for a return on their money, it was claimed.
Roly Saul, one of Ireland's best known restaurateurs, said prices of vintage bottles will rise in the coming years as fewer remain on the market. The founder of the famous Roly's in Ballsbridge will auction off a large selection of wines from his private cellar on Monday.
The sale, at Adams in Dublin, will feature more than 100 lots of wines, champagne and vintage port which he bought over the last three decades.
