Mystery of wine lorry seized by VOSA

An articulated lorry carrying wine has been seized in Manchester - and the owners of the vehicle have not been traced.

The Scania lorry, which has the registration number SF04 VVU, was discovered in Westinghouse Road by the Vehicle & Operator Services Agency.

According to VOSA, "at the time the vehicle was detained it bore no livery and was carrying wine".

The agency said that anyone having a claim to the vehicle must apply in writing to its offices at Chaderton GVTS, Broadway Business Park, Broadgate, Chadderton OL9 9XA on or before 26 December.

It warned: "If, on or by the date given in this notice, no person has established that he is entitled to the return of the contents, VOSA shall dispose of them as it thinks fit."
