US wineries activate solar installations

Largest system of its kind produces 1.3 million watts of solar energy

Foster’s Wine Estates and Perpetual Energy Systems announced that they activated four solar installations at different wineries last week, including the largest system hosted by a winery in the United States. California’s Beringer Vineyards hosts the largest system at 1,341,200 watts; together the four systems will generate 3.85 million kilowatt hours of electricity and save about 2 million pounds of CO2 emissions every year.
