MURRAY, KY – Some Calloway County voters will go to the polls today, deciding to allow a winery to open in the area. The proposed winery is part of Stone Brook Small Farm, owned by Ruth and Rita Daughaday. Only voters in the Jackson precinct will be able to participate in the vote, which is set to take place at the Murray-Calloway County Airport terminal from 6am - 6pm. Voters will be asked one Yes/No question on the ballot: “Are you in favor of the sale of wine at the Stonebrook Small Farm and Winery?”

According to Calloway County Clerk Ray Coursey Jr., there are 866 eligible voters able to make the decision, casting their votes on the County’s new paper ballot system.
