Littore winery targets Europe
MARKETING: Littore wines have been pro-active to sell Jindalee to 17 countries.
MOORABOOL Valley winery Littore Family Wines will open a new office in Germany to help market the label throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Littore is one of the country's largest independent wine grape growers and one its strongest exporters, selling its flagship, Jindalee to 17 countries.
Label director Vince Littore recently announced the new European office, with Joerg Hacker as the bureau's sales and marketing general manager.
Mr Hacker has more than 14 years of industry experience. For almost the past decade Mr Hacker has headed Casella Wines' European office where he oversaw sales of Yellow Tail.
Mr Littore said the new appointment had ``all the necessary expertise in terms of market approach and customer structure''.
Mr Hacker said he was excited to join the third-generation Littore label.
``After gathering a lot of experience in other companies, I am now very much looking forward to being part of the expansion and growth of this family owned Australian company with tremendous future potential,'' he said.
Littore's storage capacity was now 13 million litres with crushing and wine making facilities at 15,000 tonnes per annum.
