The International Food and Wine Experience of Charlottesville is rescheduling the two-and-a-half day tasting event for July 13 through August 2, 2009.

The event was originally scheduled for the weekend of January 23rd-25th, 2009.

The Experience says they'll be drawing wine enthusiasts from around the world. The event will feature around 100 world-class wineries, restaurants, gourmet foods, celebrity chefs, champagne breakfasts, wine tastings, and auctions. The Experience's web site has the details.

Tim O'Brien, the founder of IFWEOC says that rescheduling the event for the summer will "further enhance this world-class gathering."

A portion of the proceeds from the event will fund scholarships to Virginia residents going to Virginia colleges and universities.
