GLENS FALLS — The Aquarium of the Adirondacks will host a Winter Wine and Cheese tasting benefit from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, at the Charles R. Wood Theater.

The Aquarium of the Adirondacks invites everyone to enjoy an evening of fine wine and hors d’oeuvres, live jazz music, a silent auction with a multitude of amazing items and packages, a tour of the planned facility on the large projection screen, and a chance to meet key sponsors and aquarium board members. There will be a presentation by the Aquarium’s director of education and animal husbandry, Doug Perry, detailing the museum’s progress, plans and the impact the aquarium will have on the community.

Advance tickets will be $35 each prior to |Jan. 16, and $41.50 after the 16th and at the door.

The Aquarium of the Adirondacks will be a full-scale public aquarium, offering a unique journey of discovery from the high peaks of the Adirondacks, along the Hudson River, down the Atlantic coast to the coral reefs, and out to the depths of the oceans.

This nonprofit aquarium will become a major year-round attraction and educational facility, a local employer, a steward of the environment and a positive addition to the Adirondack landscape.

There are several ways to make tax-deductible contributions that help us get one step closer to the construction of this spectacular facility.
