Food & Wine Trails, which specializes in winery cruises, has lowered its prices by $1,000 per person for its 2009 series, which includes five cruises:

Best of Long Island cruise (June 24-July 14), hosted by Paumanok Vineyards and Wolffer Estate

Franciscan and Simi wineries cruise (July 4-14)

Napa Valley’s Silenus Vintners cruise (July 14-25)

Robert Mondavi’s cruise (Sept. 4-16)

Alexander Valley’s White Oak Vineyards & Winery cruise (Oct. 5-17)

The price cut reduces the entry cost of a Food & Wine Trails wine cruise to $2,349 plus tax per person, including airfare, compared with a $6,000 cost for a similar-length, land-based program. Cruises sponsored by Chateau St. Jean and St. Supery Vineyards & Winery in April will receive a $500 onboard cruise credit. May cruises hosted by Matanzas Creek Winery and Arrowood Vineyards & Winery and the Zinfandel Advocates and Producers will receive a $300 cruise credit.
