Wine tasting set for Feb. 12 in Maryville
Creekside Fine Wines & Spirits will host a wine tasting at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Top of the Plaza, located at 200 E. Broadway in Maryville. Over 25 different wines will be included.

Seminar planned on veterans' benefits
Sterling House of Maryville will present a seminar on veterans Affairs Aid and Attendance Benefits that may be available to a veteran or spouse of a deceased veteran. The program will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Sterling House. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.

New Providence to hold sale Friday
New Providence Presbyterian Church, located at 703 W. Broadway, Maryville, will hold a sale from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday in the church's fellowship hall. The sale will include clothes, shoes, books, toys, and household items.
Arts.Alive classes offered for quilters
Machine piecing for quilting will be taught by Nancy Berrong from noon to 2 p.m. on Jan. 29, Feb. 5, 12 and 19. Class space is limited to 10. Those interested should come by the Arts.Alive Gallery for supply list, to register and pay in advance. Cost for all four classes is $80.

Mammogram screenings scheduled
The University of Tennessee Breast Health Outreach Program will be offering mammograms from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 27 at Broadway Towers, located at 132 W. Broadway in Maryville.
Women age 40 and older are eligible and insurance will be filed for each participant. To schedule an appointment, call 305-9753.
