An interior view of Creo in GuilderlandGUILDERLAND, NY -- Creo, a new "green" restaurant located in the upscale Stuyvesant Plaza near the Albany city line, has come up with a recession buster for those who enjoy wine with their dinner.

Here's the deal: Every wine on its list will be made available on Sundays at 50% off the price for tables with at least two diners when two entrees are ordered.

Creo is one of the first restaurants in New York State to be LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certified, a level reached in cooperation with the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA). It features a grass roof, floors made from recycled materials, granite counters, an onyx bar and energy efficient equipment.

The menu is a mix of Mediterranean and American styles of food served in a casual atmosphere.  The executive chef is Andrew Plummer, one of the Capital Region's top chefs.
