Artist Comes To Yakima For Inspiration From Winery

 ZILLAH--A famous artist heads into Yakima Valley's wine country for inspiration he says he only finds here!  Alexei Kazantsev visited Silver Lake Winery Saturday signing pictures of his latest artwork showcasing the Yakima Valley.

He says the sights he sees here can't be replicated anywhere else.

"When I show [people] the photograph, they thought it was a painting," Kazantsev said.  "They thought I made it up!  I said, 'no, this is [the] Yakima Valley!"'

Kasantsev started as a sculptor and painter.  He started doing photography after seeing Central Washington's wine country.

He'll be showing off his work at Severino Cellars from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, February 15.
