Vino at The Landing Brings New Wine Bar to Renton

By   2009-2-16 17:15:19

Starting February 20, Renton-area residents looking for a place to whine about the economy will have a new option – as long as the wine they are serving is red or white.

Vino at The Landing (www.vinoatthelanding.com) will be the community’s premier wine tasting bar and retail shop featuring a rotating inventory of hard-to-find artisan Northwest wines, an Italian-influenced appetizer menu featuring classic fare such as bruschetta and paninis along with a custom dessert menu by Alaska Silk Pie Company.

With a lounge area creating an intimate atmosphere by the fireplace, as well as restaurant-style seating, Vino at The Landing will offer something for everyone – from the wine enthusiast to the wine novice.

“We envision Vino at The Landing as a community gathering place,” said co-owner Rick McMaster. “Vino will be the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine before a movie, or pair it with appetizers or dessert and wine afterward. It is a place where people can enjoy the pleasures of wine in an environment designed for the wine connoisseur, as well as novice wine drinkers.”

Vino at The Landing features a wine education component, hosting “Meet the Winemaker” tastings on Friday nights, and reserve tasting events throughout the year. A display will accompany each wine featuring customer recommendations, producer information, tasting notes and food pairings to educate the consumer about each wine. Customers may also special order hard-to-find wines and the staff at Vino will take care of the ordering and shipping.

“Vino at The Landing is exactly the kind of local tenant we envisioned for this project,” said Bob Baker, CLS, a partner at Harvest Partners. “We are excited to be bringing all of these tenants to one easy location and look forward to all of the new openings in the coming months.”

Five New Restaurants Opening this Spring, including Thai Food and a Burger Joint

This spring, three new restaurants will be throwing open the doors to hungry customers. The growing list of distinctive local restaurants is expanding to include Thai65 and 5 Guys Burgers and Fries, all opening in the spring.

With one other location in the University District, Thai 65 has become known for its quick service and excellent Thai food options. A national chain, Zagat rated as a best buy, Five Guys Burgers and Fries will open its first franchise in the state. With a cult-like following, Five Guys has more than 300 locations in more than 25 states.

Papaya Vietnamese Cuisine, The Rock Pizza and Izakaya Sushi will also open this spring at The Landing.

Convenience Taken to a New Level with Medical, Dental and even an Onsite Bank

In addition to the new restaurants and the great services and entertainment options already open, The Landing will now be home to some of the region’s top healthcare providers, including Valley Medical and family dentist Daniel Y. Go, D.D.S.

“Bringing medical and dental options to the mix of restaurants, retailers, entertainment and services already at The Landing, contributes to the convenience of The Landing,” said Baker. “We are thrilled to be able to offer all of these tenants in one place.”

Also opening in the spring, Key Bank will be a full services bank with a drive-up ATM located in the parking garage at the Northwest corner of The Landing.
