Tbilisi (GBC) – Kindzmarauli Wine Cellar, a winemaking company, is in negotiations with the U.S., Turkey, and India on exporting its wines.

Kindzmarauli Wine Cellar's management has confirmed the information that sales of Georgian wines have decreased in Ukraine. Georgian wines are facing almost the same problems as in Russia, Lasha Suladze, the company's commercial manager, said.

"The Ukrainian market is full of wine products. Moreover, the volume of adulterated products has increased on the market,” Suladze said. “The global financial crisis has added to the situation. As a result, wine sales have decreased."

In 2008, sales of Kindzmarauli Wine Cellar increased by 15% to 20%. Ukraine’s share of total sales is 40%.

Kindzmarauli Wine Cellar bottled its first product in 2005 and was introduced on the market in 2006.
