Dijon offers discount to restaurant workers

Dijon, a French bistro-style restaurant at 311 Third St., Ithaca, is offering 50 percent off on all food to Tompkins County restaurant employees on Tuesdays.

Owner and chef Mark Papera said a tighter economy has made it more difficult for restaurant workers to enjoy a meal out of the house. He plans to continue his half-price offer on food items on Dijon's menu for at least the month of February.

To be eligible for the discount, restaurant workers need to bring a pay stub showing the name of the restaurant in which they work. Dijon's serves dinners from 5 to 10 p.m. daily and lunches from noon to 2 p.m. weekdays.
