SoBe Wine And Food Festival Returns This Weekend
SOUTH BEACH, Fla. - It has become a South Florida tradition, the Food Network's South Beach Wine And Food Festival.
The four-day event will bring top chefs, food and spirit companies and thousands of fans with an appetite for quality cuisine to Miami Beach.
One of the high-points of the festival is the Perrier-Jouet Bubble Q, a high class dinner that combines rich bar-b-que and Champaign.
Florida International University students are preparing 3000 pounds of meat for the event this Friday.
Each chef will have to prepare 900 portions of food for the Bubble Q.
Many of them are bringing their own special recipes that require extra preparation.
One chef is importing 35-pounds of exotic mushrooms.
FIU Teacher, Chef Michael Moran, describes the Bubble Q as an "only-in-Miami" event.
“There is nowhere else in the world that you can do what we are doing here. We’ve got beautiful beaches, beautiful people and outstanding food,” said Moran.
The Bubble Q starts Friday night at 7:00. Tickets are $350 for general admission, but the VIP reception is already sold out.
There are plenty of other South Beach Wine and Food Festival events to choose from.
The Festival runs from Thursday through Sunday.
