Canandaigua center to celebrate ice wines, foods
The New York Wine & Culinary Center is hosting its first nICE Festival, a celebration of ice wines and foods, from noon to 6 p.m. Feb. 28.
There will be free ice wine tastings with representatives from Casa Larga Vineyards, Imagine Moore Winery, Mazza Chautauqua Cellars and Niagara Landing Wine Cellars in the Center's Tasting Room from noon to 5 p.m. Other events include:
Seasonal Chef Demo and Wine Pairing Lunch and Learn at 1 p.m., $30.
Kitchen Quick Takes, Ravioli Basics cooking class, 2 p.m. $40.
Ice Sculpture Demos at 2 and 4 p.m., including hot chocolate and coffee, free.
Wine & Chocolate Pairing with Truffles at 3 p.m., $20.
Sweet & Savory Duo/Ice Wine Pairing in the Taste of New York Lounge, all day, $15.

The event comes at the end of the first New York Ice Wine Festival. Earlier this month, Casa Larga Vineyards and Imagine Moore Winery won double golds for their ice wines at a Florida competition, and Casa Larga's earned the Best of Show Dessert Wine title.
