The 4th annual Night at the Winery, a fundraiser for the Cannon Falls Education Foundation, was another success. The event was held Saturday at Cannon River Winery.

Over 125 people were in attendance, plus several students who performed on keyboards and steel drums. The event was sponsored by First Farmers&Merchants Bank, and raised $1,700.

Co-chairs of the event were Kay Sabin and Pat Dougherty. Kris Jacobsen of First Farmers worked on marketing the event, which raised more than last year.

"The student performances on the keyboard and steel drums were very entertaining," said Joe Coyle. "We had a student demonstrating an AutoCad drafting program, and we were thankful to have several displays provided by teachers that showcased how the funds of the Foundation are used in the school."
