china wine online-Syrah Suen)-With credit crunch storming the world, RMB going strong and import tax dropping in China, imported wines are popular during this Chinese new year.

It is reported that foreign invested supermarkets, including Auchan, Testco, Carrefour and Metro, are the major sales channel for imported wines. All the imported products are presented in the conspicuous places in the market.

Mr.Xu bought two bottles of French wine, retailed at 128 RMB yuan a bottle. He said,
“We usually drink domestic wine and rice wine on New Year’s Day in the past years. Now with the price of imported wines declined, we will enjoy some new taste.”

Figures show that average price of imported wine and spirit in 2008 has decreased by 30% . A bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Label whisky priced at over 300 yuan dropped to 210 yuan. A bottle of vodka (250ml) from Finland retails at 58 yuan in Carrefour. The price of most imported wines are not more than 80 yuan.
