BUENA: Winery offers cooking demonstrations
BUENA -- Bellview Winery, 150 Atlantic St., will host a series of cooking demonstrations with area chefs this spring.
Each evening will begin with an apertif wine and a tour of the winery followed by dinner. Dinner includes a three course meal explained by the chef as it is prepared at Bellview’s cooking station, complete with a viewing screen showing close ups of the procedures and techniques.
Each course will be paired with Bellview wines. Between courses, Jim Quarella, owner and master vintner of the winery, will explain the rationale behind the wine choices.
The first demonstration will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11. Chef for the evening will be Jill McClennen of Vineland’s The Sweet Life Bakery.
The following demonstrations are also scheduled: March 4, with chefs from Scotland Run Country Club in Williamstown; 6 p.m. March 25, with Chef Joe Messaglia from Mama Mia’s in Seaville; and April 15, with Chef Murray Levin from Lucia’s Ristorante in Vineland.
Tickets are $47 plus tax. Early reservations are recommended.
