Wine Fest auction total

NAPLES: Trustees of the Naples Winter Wine Festival didn抰 show any signs of disappointment this year.

The ninth annual Naples Winter Wine Festival raised more than $5 million for charities in Collier County.

Organizers did see reduced bidding this year in a struggling economic environment. Last year the auction raised $14 million.

The highest bid was $350,000 for a 19-day Caribbean cruise aboard a 170-foot yacht.

The event raises money to improved the lives of underprivileged children.
