Henry’s to add beer and wine
Henry’s Market — known for its chicken pot pies, freshly made sandwiches, meats and baked goods — may soon be adding beer and wine to that list.
Owner John Keohane said he has plans to open a beer and wine store in the empty storefront at the front of the North Beverly supermarket. The space was a First National Bank of Ipswich branch until it moved out in November.
Keohane said he plans to buy Beverly Beer and Wine Co., which is currently located in North Beverly Plaza, and move it to his store. He plans to take on the store’s current owner, Kurt Reming, as an employee and wine expert.
The transfer of the liquor license is scheduled to go before the city’s License Board tonight, March 12, for its approval.
The beer and wine store would keep the separate entrance that the bank used and cater to the store’s existing customers.
