Metro to Launch a Large-Scale Wine Promotion in China

Metro began to launch a large-scale wine promotion in China, which involves 38 Metro supermarkets and last the whole year. During the promotion, wine tasting will be held.

Purchasing director of Metro China told journalist from China Wine News that the promotion will begin from one supermarket in Putuo, Shanghai, where customers will taste wine from France, U.S.A., Argentina, Australia and South Africa. He also expressed that wine is the ideal choice of Chinese delicacies and Metro will recommend the best wine makers in the world to our professional clients.

  Metro will provide the auxiliary publicity materials so as to facilitate professional clients by developing customer-tailored wine list for their restaurants.

Some of the wine in the promotion will be exclusively supplies by Metro and will be sold at a preferential price. From April on, one wine will be mainly promoted in each month with focus on one preferential red wine and white wine.
