Expect top-notch food, wine, and socializing in this amazing setting

This is truly the event many locals and visitors anticipate all year long-  The  "Taste of St. Croix."  What started out nine years ago as a one-night event has evolved through the years to a week-long extravaganza featuring not just the "Taste" but a series of events ranging from private wine maker's dinners at some of the island's most beautiful homes as well as St.Croix's top restaurants, to champagne after-parties, to wine warehouse tastings.  And that's just sratching the surface.

Scheduled events:

Tuesday, April 14-

Celebrity chef vintner's dinner, Tutto Bene Restaurant

Tuesday Night's Bites-  a triple-header featuring sushi and saki, a wine reception, and dessert, three different top-restaurant  locations

Wednesday, April 15-

Wine maker symposiums-  topics: biodynamic wines, the Super Tuscans, saving some of Italy's grapes from extinction.  Celebrity chefs, local chefs, and vintners at island homes and fine restaurants.

Thursday, April 16-

The "Taste!"  A Taste of St. Croix, a colossal culinary competition, features restaurants, caterers, chefs, provisioners, wine makers, etc. all showing their talents at Divi Carina Bay Hotel.  The wines are top of the line as is the food offerings. The event gets bigger and better every year and tickets sell out almost before they actually go on sale.  (I didn't say it but who you know helps...).  A champagne after-party is held upstairs in the ballroom following the Taste.  Moet Chandon corks are popping, a DJ spins dance tunes.

Friday, April 17-

Celebrity and local chefs share their talents at private venues

Saturday, April 18-

Wine in the Warehouse, live music, variety of wines.

And this is all done for charity, all funds raised for all events go to St. Croix Foundation, a non-profit raising money for the island's needs.
